When We Dip: Makebo returns to Rubicunda with Arise

Barcelona-based producer Makebo is back on Rubicunda, the imprint he co-founded with Amonita in 2021, with a powerful new single titled ‘Arise’. Out on October 29th, 2026, the record captures the artist in a more energetic mood while staying true to the deep and hypnotic signature that has made his name on labels such as Anjunadeep, All Day I Dream, Lost Miracle and Shanti Radio.

‘Arise’ is built around the idea of an inner push, that moment where you overcome what holds you back and keep moving forward. Makebo channels this concept through a dense, rolling bass, sharp dynamics and finely crafted textures. The groove is undeniably physical, while the hypnotic upper layers keep pulling your attention toward small details that reveal themselves a little more with every listen. Behind its strong dancefloor energy lies a true musical labyrinth, the kind of track you want to hear until the very last second.

Known for his crunchy grooves and complex rhythmic structures, Makebo has earned regular support from heavyweights like Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Lee Burridge, Damian Lazarus and Sébastien Léger. With Rubicunda, he and Amonita have built a home for emotive, groove-driven electronic music that blends organic textures with a forward-thinking approach, and ‘Arise’ stands as another strong statement from the label.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Arise’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
