Enigmatic DJ and producer Gab Rhome unveils the latest single on his imprint Rendez-Vous, ‘Overconsumed’ – an enthralling sojourn into the modern psyche that offers a sonic exploration of the relentlessly winding, insatiable quest for perfection.

An invigorating, anthemic track that unfolds as distinctly and unpredictably as Rhome’s sonic signature, ‘Overconsumed’ is brought to life through a masterful fusion of bouncy disco basslines with his own magnetic vocals. As the hypnotic refrain “not enough, don’t ever stop” commands attention, Rhome skillfully immerses listeners into an ethereal realm where whimsical meets satirical, simultaneously inspiring inward reflection and external release on the dance floor.

“This track is a strange ode to overconsumption and losing oneself in the endless race to perfection. Be it relationships or life in general, we are constantly looking for more and it’s easy to get lost in that feeling. As this track first materialized, I actually fell into this trap and tried to warn against it. As I continued to develop this song, I couldn’t stop starting new ideas and variations on the same theme. It became a maddening odyssey of self-fulfillment, which I think was – in the end – necessary to achieve the result that is ‘Overconsumed.’” – Gab Rhome

After a series of celebrated releases in 2023 on prestigious labels such as Club Bad, Disco Halal, and Get Physical, and receiving high praise from industry heavyweights including Pete Tong, Jamie Jones, and Mat.Joe, Gab Rhome makes his bold entrance into 2024 via ‘Overconsumed’. This release marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the artist in a category of his own. As a prelude to an array of upcoming projects, including a highly anticipated release on Yes Yes Yes, ‘Overconsumed’ is set to lay the foundation for a new era of energy, love and innovative music rooted in unapologetic authenticity.

Rhome’s evolving style and dedication to pushing musical boundaries promise to captivate his audience and set the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable year.

You can now listen to ‘Overconsumed’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
