Sidney Charles has been busy cooking up more gold in the studio, and this time for Do Not Sleep. He starts 2020 with two dance floor weapons, and the release comes hot on the heels of the launch of his own label, Heavy House Society and once again another year of non-stop touring.

Charles’ new EP has a classic old school Chicago style to it. First up, ‘Groovy Mushroom’ feat. Lady Vale is a slick and soul enriched track with deft stabs, drums that will sweep you off your feet and plenty of authentic US house vibes to make it all the more timeless. Fire vocals add fuel to the flames and make sure this one will utterly destroy the floor. Then comes “The Pump” with its tough hits, driving bass that is deep down and dirty, and plenty of raw percussive energy all getting you on your toes. Finally Demuir steps up with a killer “Playboy Edit” of The Pump which takes this release to a whole new level of wonky naughtiness when its comes to a bass line.
